We are looking for a Software Systems Engineering with a passion for coordinating the Technical Operations projects and has experience General project management, release management & Change management. The ideal candidate should have additional expertise working for the Security, Operability, Observability and operational responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Performs activities related to the GetThere release process from development to production. 
Attend daily Operational CAB calls, as well as incident and operational calls as needed 
Responsible for creation and/or review of application Change Records (CR’s)
Work closely with multiple internal groups, which include Development, Operation teams, DB team, Security teams, System Owners & Change Management.
Provides project coordination and management on project requirements, as well as resources required
Acts as primary point of contact for the GetThere Operational work during DFW/MVD business hours. 
Ensures that consistent and updated information is disseminated to and between all respective departments and third parties by use of Confluence, JIRA, internal meetings and ad hoc conference calls
Overall leadership for the Scrum Team including agile management for ongoing project execution
Responsible for setting up recurring status meetings with the Scrum team, debrief meetings,  action plans for improvement as well as handling issues that arise from the team
Gathering and updating project materials, metrics, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents
Interface directly with management staff to determine operational objectives and conduct tradeoff discussions if necessary
Assist System owners with Runbooks and E2E documentation.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

Required Skills:


Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Good written and verbal communication skills 
Change Management Experience
Experience working with Remote Teams
Capable of working independently as well as collaborate with team
ITSM/ITIL Experience
Preferred Knowledge of JIRA, and/or Service Now 
Good Analytical capabilities & troubleshooting skills

 

Desired Skills: 


Basic Linux / Unix experience
Executing the project using Agile framework
Familiar with Rally tool to schedule and track the project work
Experience with Runbooks 

 

Education


Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Minimum 4+ years related experience.
