Job Description


A Team Lead Software QA in the Center of Excellence is ultimate gateway to ensure quality before a product is delivered to our Customers. As part of the Center of Excellence, the System Integration Testing team is responsible for testing applications from an End User Perspective ensuring that all applicable business processes are tested thoroughly from an end to end perspective. SIT is a Team responsible for understanding the Technical aspects of a product as well as the End User interactions that our Customers will have with it. 


The Team Lead QA Software Engineer is a key role in helping the Business to make decisions based on the degree of readiness of an application/product to be launched to the market. By developing and implementing a test strategy that supports the CI/CD operating principles with the End User perspective in mind, the Team Lead QA can provide insight on the foreseeable risks, testing efforts needed and report on the same during the life of the project. This means getting to understand the Technical aspects and architecture of the application as well as the flows that need to be tested/navigated to thoroughly test de desired business processes and having programming skills to develop test automation. One key aspect of testing from and End User perspective is also getting to know and understand the characteristics of said user, from how they will use the application, to what are the security constraints that we need to ensure are in place to comply with Sabre standards.


Your Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple Technical Product Managers to coordinate and integrate testing across multiple products/platforms communicating testing needs and providing information when defects are found 
  • Coordinate with other SIT resources to balance capacity to meet scrum sprint cycles and commitment to deadlines
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and test case / test code reviews across SIT team members
  • Plan for a Test Strategy that supports CI/CD incremental testing through our existing Automation Framework
  • Understand the Security aspects/roles that need to be tested from the End User perspective
  • Follow QA standards, automation best practices, etc. 
  • Support and maintain processes that produce Product Readiness reporting (such as Rally, JIRA, and test execution reports)
  • White Box and Blackbox testing

Job Requirements


  • Advanced level of English both verbal and written
  • Automation experience with BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) 
  • Experience with tools for CI development environments (Jenkins, Gitbash, IntelliJ, Maven, bitbucket) 
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies, Scrum in particular
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Good understanding of Software Testing Process/ Methodology  
  • Desirable experience in Airline or Travel domain
