Job Description

 

Sabre Hospitality Solutions team is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Quality Control Manager role.

In Hospitality Solutions our Software Engineers build large, distributed, and real-time software applications that power the leading Chains and Hotels of the world. 

The Sr. Quality Control Manager is a central role in the Quality Engineering Division, acting as a liaison between various teams, coordinating, scheduling, reporting and overseeing overall Testing deliverables across multiple project/teams/releases.

As a Sr. Quality Control Manager, you will:

  • Responsible for monitoring testing schedules/plans/executions are on track across various releases/teams/applications. Responsible to ensure proper planning and monitoring of E2E Testing schedules, such as, for Regression, GCP env buildouts, gathering testing progress across multiple QE (Scrum/Feature) & PE teams. Working closely with PMs to keep testing activities/statuses up to date in key project plans. Participate in roadmap/BoW discussions to ensure QE & PE teams are engaged/planned.
  • Responsible to ensure proper planning/orchestration for env reservation/deployment/scheduling for QE & PE testing activities. Liaise with RE & QE/PE teams to resolve any test on-prem/cloud environment availability conflicts across multiple projects; monitor and follow up/facilitate deployment tickets and ensure test env readiness
  • Coordinate test data management/creation activities across test envs partnering with QE/PE & RE teams
  • Coordinate QE & PE manager signoffs for releases; managing QE engagement in prod deployments, post prod defect monitoring and engaging QE & PE teams as necessary 
  • Capacity Planning: work closely with QE & PE managers for demand management, and capacity monitoring
  • Facilitate Change Review approvals|tickets|meetings and patch testing
  • Collect quality metrics regularly, create and drive/manage Quality Dashboard. 
  • Facilitate and drive discussions across teams, conducting regular testing status meetings to ensure QE/PE teams stay on track; communicate QE & PE schedules/risks with stakeholders
  • Build cross team Synergies – continuously identify process gaps/recommend efficiencies, identify risks and help foster cross team synergies
  • CI/CD Test Pipeline: ensure availability of testing pipelines

Job Requirements

 

  • Demonstrated 10+ years of experience managing large scale testing programs
  • Demonstrated 8+ years of experience driving scheduling and coordination for large scale testing efforts across several projects/teams
  • Demonstrated 8+ years of experience driving scheduling and coordination environment mgmt. across several projects/releases
  • Advanced English level – written and verbal
  • Technical Project Management experience with focus on Testing status reporting, coordination, and schedule monitoring experience

 

Technical Skills: 

  • Dashboard Development – Excel macros/Grafana/Tableau etc.
  • Metrics Collection – Splunk, Unix
  • PM tools – Rally/JIRA/SNOW, Agile Methodologies
  • DevOps and Cloud exposure – Jenkins, VMs, IaC

 

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related fields and PMP
