Job Description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Technology Engineering & Operations team. Responsibilities include supporting Sabre’s Travel Solutions airline customers, managing deployments and releases using various internal and third-party tools, improve release implementation/deployment by automating changes, investigate/troubleshoot and permanently resolve issues, and other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities 
•    Work under minimum supervision with few direct instructions.
•    Build and utilize automation tools with respect to the release management process.
•    Will actively participate in Change, Incident, Problem and Knowledge Management processes as well as on-call support.
•    While working on incidents will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnose and take actions and triage for production systems.
•    Responsible for designing and implementing improvements to increase stability and uptime in production environments with oversight and support of Integration, Certification and Staging environments.
•    Assist in the technical coordination between service integrators, vendors and partners
•    Responsible for defining, designing and implementing new and updated hardware and software solutions for development and/or production. Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of systems.
•    Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Job Requirements

•    Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and up.
•    Strong attitude towards teamwork, knowledge sharing and documentation.
•    Windows Services / IIS / MS Clustering experience at admin level.
•    Knowledge of Active Directory and DFS.
•    Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell.
•    Experience troubleshooting .NET applications using Windows Sysinternals tools such as Process Explorer and ProcDump.
•    AWS / GCP knowledge (if at architect level is a plus).
•    Experience developing and maintaining IaC (CloudFormation / Terraform).

Additional assets:
•    Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
•    Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, SCM, and Software Development life-cycle practices are a bonus.
•    Experience with monitoring tools: Splunk, Zabbix, AppDynamics, Prometheus are a plus.
•    Experience on automation / configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Rundeck are a plus.
•    Experience with ELK is a plus.
•    Strong understanding of development languages and scripting languages.
•    Understanding of networking, replication principles, and multi-datacenter operations.
•    A strong focus on business outcomes, performance optimization, cost reduction, simplicity in design.
•    ITSM knowledge required, ITIL Certifications are a plus.
•    Microsoft SQL Server knowledge at user level is a plus.
•    Will be required to participate in team on-call support 24x7 one week per month.
•    BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or commensurate experience required
•    Minimum 3 years related experience in Operations or software engineer for software products.
