Job Description

Sabre Hospitality Solutions (SHS) is seeking a Business Development Manager, responsible for the commercial and
operational relationship with an assigned portfolio of strategic hotel customers and prospects within the region.
Reporting to the General Manager, North America East, the selected candidate will drive business development
efforts within the assigned region, while ensuring success of a portfolio of existing customers. The position requires
a confident business manager and skilled relationship architect that can hit the ground running quickly delivering
sales success.
The position requires:
• Business development and direct sales experience – Demonstrated success in identifying, qualifying, and
closing long-term agreements beneficial to the company, from both new and existing customers
• A successful background of strategic account management and planning - Customer focused thought
process to manage and develop complex relationships
• Sales and negotiation excellence, with a track record of over-achieving results and a proven ability to
effectively build and manage sales pipeline
• In depth knowledge of the hospitality industry
• Account planning and analytical skills, with an innovative approach to creating value for the customer
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for interfacing with and providing consultative sales to strategic partners
o Establishes target list to prospect for, and short-range strategies to attain, key business plan
objectives of new and conversion sales.
o Solidifying renewal opportunities and protecting recurring revenue streams
o Achieving quarterly sales, customer satisfaction and retention targets
• Engages with customers, provides technical and administrative product information and/or delivers product
demonstrations to customers.
• Develops strategic business/sales plans and maintains sales records in Salesforce
• Negotiates, develops, interprets and executes on strategic partner contract. Follows deal review process
ensuring margins are positive and pricing is in-line with SHS strategy
• Positively affects the relationship between the company and a customer, from both a financial & product
standpoint.
• Coordinates across the various functions within Sabre to ensure customer requirements are handled
appropriately and in a timely manner
• Plans and leads customer-facing meetings and presentations

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

10+ years minimum of combined relevant professional experience

• 5+ years of relevant Business Development experience
• Candidates must excel in the following areas: being analytical, having a strong customer presence and
outstanding problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous opportunities and projects
• Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
• Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
• Strong time management, multitasking and organizational skills
• A fundamental understanding of the hospitality technology and distribution market is strongly desired
• A strong working knowledge of Salesforce and the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Virtual office or remote reporting work experience preferred
• Candidate must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
