Job Description


Reporting to the Technical Writing Supervisor, the technical writer will leverage their experience and deep understanding of technical communications, and their knowledge of how content impacts product success and adoption, to manage and maintain multiple documentation projects. 
Qualified candidates will have strong and effective communication skills, be highly self-motivated, and demonstrate prior content development experience resulting in effective product adoption.

•    Manage and maintain user-facing documentation to advance the engagement and experience for users of SaaS applications used worldwide. 
•    Work internally with team members, product development staff, and business analysts, to gain working knowledge of applications or APIs. 
•    Analyze, interpret, and translate technical requirements to write and edit technical and user content in a clear and concise user-friendly style.
•    Evaluate existing content for adherence to standards, and recommend improvements in editorial and visual standards, new designs, layouts, and procedures for improvement.  

Job Requirements


•    Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, or Journalism
•    Technical Writing Certificate

•    5+ years of technical writing / communication experience in a SAAS organization
•    5+ years experience with web-based documentation or content management systems
•    Familiar with internationalization/localization methodologies and workflows
•    Comfortable learning and using prototype or production software products to develop ready content for multiple products and recurring cadence of releases
•    Strong project management skills
•    Technical proficiency with the following software: 
o    RoboHelp and/or MadCap Flare
o    MS Office Suite
o    Rally or other Agile Management Tools
•    Other skills desired but not required: 
o    Background in business of travel
o    Knowledge of HTML, XML, SOAP, REST, and JSON 
o    Familiar with Agile software methodology
o    Multilingual
o    Exposure to instructional design, adult-learning theory, and LMS management
