TEAM DESCRIPTION 


As a key member of the Sabre Hospitality Solutions (SHS) product management portfolio integration team, you will play a critical role in driving performance across the product portfolio.  The portfolio integration team establishes the structures and processes to lead the annual product investment review process across the product portfolio and works closely with product managers and other stakeholders to execute on those activities throughout the year.  Additionally, the team is responsible for ensuring a data backed approach to investment valuation as well as driving process consistency and standardization across the product portfolio. 
 
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES  


Work closely with the Sr. Director of Portfolio Integration & Roadmap Execution, VP of Product Management, and individual product management VPs to create both a best in class annual investment planning process as well as a highly integrated view of the SHS product portfolio composition from the perspective of a Private Equity investor, including portfolio return profile, growth opportunities and performance against committed roadmap plans and milestones


 
This role will be instrumental in delivering the following:

•    Annual investment planning process - the process of setting SHS product investment plans follows a recipe of assessing past performance, analyzing the market to identify potential strategic options, evaluating those options, and then building decisions into the product roadmap.  This role will be critical in establishing this process and will lead or materially contribute to pricing strategy, customer analysis, market analysis, investment analysis, and product roadmap creation as well as the supporting meetings/workshops (e.g. product steering committee meetings)
•    Process improvement – Work across products and functions to standardize processes that are key to driving product health and performance
•    Valuation analysis - Sound strategy decisions are rooted in sound financial analysis.  This role will contribute to both the creation of product P&Ls with the necessary level of detail to understand the true drivers of product performance as well as a longer term financial model to assess investment decisions and their financial impact on SHS from an external investors perspective
•    Value chain / market analysis - Integrate key operational and financial product performance data with external data sources (research, competitor analysis, macro social and economic trends, etc.) to evaluate overall portfolio performance and recommend strategic and tactical actions.  Partner with the business operations team to create a comprehensive data repository that enables detailed market analysis across various dimensions such as segment, geography, etc.
•    Development prioritization / planning - partner with the Development organization to ensure development prioritization reflects SHS strategic priorities and ensure clear, robust processes to guide requests from idea to ready for development
•    Product management development model - create a leadership development framework that outlines the development expectations associated with roles in the product management organization

 

Job Requirements

 

Must Have Skills:

  • 2 years of experience of mgmt. consulting with McKinsey, Bain, or BCG
  • Experience across a broad range of business and functional topics including but not limited to: Enterprise transformations, organizational effectiveness, portfolio & business unit strategy, investment analysis, pricing strategy
  • Thought leader able to independently lead their work, think strategically, and communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to take complex, unstructured problems and quickly apply structure to surface meaningful insights and create outputs that drive alignment and action
  • Experience working with large, globally dispersed, multi-functional organizations

 

Nice To Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree – preferably in business mgmt. 
  • Prior experience working directly for or with hospitality or technology companies
