Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Sabre Airline Solutions is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer. This role will be responsible for providing in-depth technical product assistance and recommending appropriate solutions during pre-sales discussions with potential customers. This role will contribute to the customer acquisition strategy and will help identify the customers’ business processes, systems and product requirements. Additionally, this role will be key in recommending appropriate solutions and delivering onsite/remote product demonstrations directly tied to closing business and driving revenue.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Primarily responsible for building the quantifiable value propositions in sales engagements, scope definition and management to ensure proper expectations are set during the pre-sales process.
  • Carry out detailed discovery sessions with customers to understand business drivers, pain points and critical success factors and determines how they can be met with the existing products and services.
  • Develop strong technical relationships with key clients and vendors and be the customer advocate within Sabre to develop the products/solutions that meet the customer's business goals.
  • Support sales and account management personnel on technical issues related to new sales and renewals/conversions and participate in strategic negotiations to ensure a strong technical understanding of the customer's current and potential technology needs/requirements.
  • Provide an effective link between Sales & Account Management, Development, Product & Marketing.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the industry in order to act as a valuable resource to the sales team.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 8 years of combined software and airline operations industry related experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Airline Operations Control
  • Strong knowledge of one or more Sabre AirCentre® Enterprise Operations solutions.
  • Knowledge of Sabre business models to leverage technology solutions that ensure continued revenue growth and increase market share,
  • Detailed knowledge of technology trends and emerging technologies with an emphasis on technologies in the airline operations industry,
  • Analytical thought process that allows presentation of complex technical solutions to the customer,
  • Strong technical aptitude,
  • Excellent presentation skills (both creating presentations and giving) in front of both technical teams and at the executive level.
  • Ability to identify, communicate and connect with key decision makers,
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
