Job Description

The intern will work under general supervision of a scrum team responsible for developing, refactoring and supporting complex open systems back-end web services applications.  The applications support the creating, retrieving, managing, and searching of passenger reservations and related content.

  • Will assist with diagnosing and resolving defects, creating technical documentation, and developing quality assurance regression tests.
  • May assist in 3rd party tool upgrades to systems.
  • May assist in developing microservices using Spring Boot, REST, Couchbase, and OpenShift.

Ideal candidate has passion to learn and brings solid Java programing skills.  They are familiar with the development lifecycle and Agile practices with ability to learn new tools. Have good computer software, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to learn varied agile and development tools.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: The ideal candidate will be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

EXPERIENCE: Has development experience with Java. 

  • Good to have: XML, Spring Framework, IDE IntelliJ, GIT, SoapUI, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Spring Boot, REST, NoSQL, Couchbase, Docker, OpenShift, Amazon Web Services.
