Job Description

AirVision Planning and Scheduling is a portfolio of products that airlines are using for planning and scheduling. It offers an integrated suite of network planning solutions and multi-user decision support environment that helps airlines to manage their schedules and enables them to more easily take a strategic-level look at their networks to improve overall performance and profitability. With nearly 100 airline customers around the world it is the industry-leading scheduling and optimization solution.

  • Applies advanced skills and concepts to oversee medium, complex projects
  • Designs, develops, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software independently under limited direction
  • Works with a globally located team to discuss, understand and design solutions
  • Develops prototype solutions
  • Mentors and provides technical guidance to junior team members
  • Works with other Airline Solution product teams and Airline Customers to integrate other Airline Solution products with Sabre In-flight
  • May assist in development of software technical documentation.
  • Designs and codes moderately complex applications using routine and/or advanced technology
  • May create optimization programs to resolve problems; May design and build prototype applications

Job Requirements


Required skills:

  • 4 years of experience in software development
  • Ability to lead and direct projects and delegate work to less experienced team members
  • Familiarity with AWS (or similar cloud services) & OpenShift (or similar platforms)
  • J2EE platform, Spring framework, Hibernate, Oracle, JDBC, SQL
  • Java development and build tools; Git, Gradle, JUnit, Mockito, testNG, ExtJS, TDD/BDD strongly preferred.
  • Object-oriented design and development. Development, testing, and deployment of customer-facing applications with global users. Understanding of software design for performance, scale, and reliability.
  • Windows and Unix/Linux basic user level experience

  • Knowing Scrum/Agile principles, design patterns, refactoring techniques, test tools
  • Machine Learning algorithms and data mining



  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science
