Job Description

Under general direction, develops, codes, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity. Has excellent understanding of business application. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. May assist in development of software technical documentation. Demonstrates software. Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions. Designs and codes complex applications using advanced technology. May create optimization programs to resolve problems. May design and build prototype applications.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver robust, reliable and scalable solutions that meet business requirements. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams (Product Management, Development teams, Quality Engineering, Operations and Delivery) across multiple geographical locations.
  • Troubleshoot issues, engaging extended teams to drive issue resolution. Maintain operational focus in implementing and supporting highly available applications
  • Acquire and maintain technical knowledge of business applications. Participate in new feature functionality demos and play the role of customer advocate
  • Resourceful, action-oriented individual who possesses a sense of urgency and knows how to overcome obstacles to get things done in a timely fashion

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Required: 

  • Experience in core Java development and frameworks like SpringHibernate
  • Working knowledge of Object Oriented principles, techniques, Design Patterns etc.
  • Experience working with XML schemas and documents, JSON, SOAP & REST APIs
  • Good knowledge of contemporary GUI technologies, including HTML4/5, JavaScript, CSS3
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, BackboneJS, AngularJS)
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Tools like Git, Jenkins, Puppet, LogStash, Kibana
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
