Job Description

The product marketing role provides product line support for on-going sales enablement, campaign content development and marketing operational readiness. This position requires close interaction with product management, go-to-market and marketing services to drive market-led priorities.  Strong communication skills are a must. Duties include converting technical product positioning into key messages and launching differentiated, value-based stories into the market. This individual is accountable for business results (revenue and profit) and cross-functional team leadership.

For assigned product families, this role will:

  • Collaborate across functions and silos to deliver an effective product marketing strategy and plan to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost
  • Define and drive the product launch (go-to-market) plan (major/minor launches) across multiple channels including training, internal communications, and sales enablement
     
  • Accountable for all product marketing campaign content that helps drive buzz, engagement, leads that increase pipeline and customer retention.
  • Support and enable sales by providing content to articulate key messages and market problems, collateral, presentations with integrated video demonstrations (utilizing relevant personas), and support strategic sales pursuits
  • Collect testimonials and/or case studies and identifies key customer references to leverage in voice of the customer content in support of a portfolio referral/reference program
  • Understand the market and associated trends, pertinent buyers personas, competition and participates in relevant industry, trade and community events

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: MBA preferred; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or communications

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3-5 years of business-to-business product marketing experience
  • Experience with marketing a product(s) across its life cycle from definition to end-of-life, including market requirements, market research and analysis, marketing strategy, planning and execution, positioning and messaging and sales enablement.
  • Strong, proven leadership skills in a cross-functional, matrixed team environment with executive presence.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and has a proven ability to operate well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Domain expertise in the airline industry a plus.
