Reservations is at the heart of a travel booking that enables and facilitates all other aspects of the travel booking experience!
Under general direction, the Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the solution definition and delivery for new or existing products and capabilities, based upon the strategy and business needs as defined by the Product Management team. The Sr. Product Manager rigorously monitors the product through the full product lifecycle, from development to sunset. He/she will embrace the whole problem, understanding the operational metrics, customer needs, organizational priorities, go-to-market messaging, and revenue/cost implications and will be confidently responsible for Sabre’s success through pragmatic, collaborative, and well-informed product management.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, creating and driving an innovative product vision and strategy aligned with Sabre’s organizational strategy and addressing the competitive landscape including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and Sabre’s opportunities and threats.
• Listens beyond the obvious to ensure the best ideas are brought forward and executed.
• Creates and documents feature requirements based on market problem rather than proposed solution but is comfortable explaining both.
• Manages product release schedule, prioritizes product opportunities and backlog, and owns and communicates Product Roadmap.
• Addresses challenges and opportunities openly and directly, advocating for strategic, end-to-end, commercially viable products and solutions.
• Leads as peer, driving outcomes while working side-by-side with technical product owners, development teams, and commercial business partners.
Must - Have Attributes:
• Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and has proven ability to operate well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong business acumen, critical thinking and ability to listen and understand customer business needs
• Ability to gather, validate and create functional requirement documents for business needs
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to serve as a lead conduit between the business (external and internal customers) and developers, architects, designers.
• Strong presentation skills with experience in delivering product demos
