Job Description

 

The learning & development coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of a range of learning and development activities and projects.  The coordinator also develops and maintains robust learning and development systems and processes. 
The L&D coordinator is the first point of contact for learning and development queries and related support to ensure quick and appropriate resolution. 

 

Major tasks, responsibilities and key accountabilities:  

  • Work to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of training events (both live and e-learnings) by managing and coordinating the logistics, systems and vendor relationships for training programs and sessions.
  • Arrange hotel rooms, training room layout and equipment for workshops and events, liaise with trainers, book training rooms, print and distribute course materials and ensure required equipment is available and in working order.
  • Liaise with line managers and delegates to ensure all employees are booked on required events within agreed timeframes
  • Work closely with the learning and development team to design and communicate administrative procedures for the booking of both in-house and external training courses.
  • Establish and follow training systems and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the service offering.
  • Maintain accurate and easily accessible records of training activity attendance or completion, to ensure that employees required to attend specific workshops are easily tracked, and reports with training metrics are available on a timely basis.
  • Ensure evaluation forms are completed and available for each development activity.  
  • Maintain education support materials to be used for reference once training has been completed.
  • Assist with periodic learning and development analysis as requested.
  • Work with procurement to prepare and process invoices for payments to vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 


Experience: 

  • Five years of experience providing training coordination support in a fast-paced global environment.  
  • Experience with project management. 
  • Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems and web delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience with data analysis and reporting

 

Skills: 

  • Evidence of strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task effectively, and meet deadlines in a timely fashion
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while retaining a strong eye for detail
  • Strong analytical skills – Ability to assimilate information quickly and condense data into relevant, actionable insights
  • Strong team player, able to work effectively with diverse groups, inside and outside of the organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while also being able to work in cross-organizational and cross-cultural teams
  • The ability to work appropriately with highly confidential information 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, customer focused with a ‘can do’ attitude
