Job Description

 

We are looking for an instructional designer and/or developer to support our customer and business partner education.  We use a variety of methods to reach our audience including eLearning, live virtual class, live on-site sessions, and quick reference - “Help” materials.  We know that a thorough understanding of our products leads to greater application and success.  We also know that successful customers are our biggest advocates and best marketing.  This is not your normal training role.  This is an opportunity to blend communications, marketing and adult education to drive measurable impact for our audience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with product, development, operational SMEs, customers and other internal stakeholders to lead and collaborate on learning needs for software updates and rollouts
  • Conduct analysis of collaboration to design and develop impactful eLearning strategies and solutions that align to support product adoption/optimization and change management
  • Design, develop and deliver strategic learning solutions designed to promote audience success and drive impact
  • Design e-Learning courses and write effective copy, instructional text for audio and video scripts
  • Proactively encourage customers and colleagues to engage with the products we offer to achieve and exceed their goals
  • Serve as one of several learning technology and production champions, maintaining and promoting a rich tool set to support success

Job Requirements

 

  • Hotel and/or travel industry experience preferred
  • Content development experience in a Technology organization, preferably SAAS
  • A portfolio of work that includes several professional learning projects with examples of work highlighting many of the following:
    • eLearning
    • Graphic design
    • Mobile
    • Websites
    • Virtual Classrooms
  • Solid background and understanding of instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE or other industry best practices
  • Experience measuring training results, a plus.
  • Able to work directly with stakeholders and capable of resolving related challenges in a professional manner
  • Experience using learning management systems and creating SCORM compliant modules
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint), Publisher, Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate360
  • Related bachelor's degree or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in the learning and development field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bi-lingual preferred – verbal and written fluency in one of the following languages: Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, French, Mandarin, or Japanese
