Job Description

The Business Analyst must be a problem-solver focused on understanding and translating operational business practices into working solution to achieve their desired business outcomes.

 

As a member of the Financial Billing Implementation team responsibilities include:

  • Defining the customer and business needs 
  • Researching technical considerations, existing product functionality, and other related matters in depth to develop a recommended set of functional specifications, technical specification, user stories and related content needed to understand the options to solve the customer and business needed 
  • Communicating these needs to the Product Owner/ Product Manager 
  • Working as a member of an agile development team to deliver the product 
  • Lead the data architecture and implementation

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Translate the customer, business and market needs into product requirements that solve the customer business problem or optimizes the business practice 
  • Coordinate with 3 rd party companies to deliver on requirements 
  • Understand and identify opportunities to improve the lead to cash processes 
  • Gather/define requirements and recommend best business practices to meet those requirements 
  • Business case development (i.e., research, data collection) 
  • Contributes to the business short-and long-term planning sessions and provides direction to ensure understanding of business goals and direction 
  • Thoroughly understanding legacy platforms data design and data structure 
  • Translating and mapping data to legacy platforms from new platform(s) under direction provided by project stakeholders and documented business requirements 
  • Extracting, profiling, standardizing, converting, modeling, and other data-related activities before, during, and after migration processes as necessary 
  • Continuously evaluate, critique, and drive improvements to data migration processes, tools, and technologies 
  • Daily data maintenance 
     

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities, Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business, or related discipline preferred. Education requirements may be satisfied with commensurate experience 
  • 3-5 years of experience with progressively responsible software product management or software development work 
  • Ownership mentality to lead the team through direct management, peer collaboration, and influencing others to deliver quality solutions in a timely manner 
  • Practical experience implementing Agile methods to drive team performance and a track record of success using the Agile method to deliver software products 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, flexibility and adaptability to change, decision-making and critical thinking skill 
  • Strong analytical, technical, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion.
