Job Description

Technical Learning Lead - Principal Learning and Development:


The Principal -  Technical Learning Lead acts as technical training expert to work with subject matter experts to develop the end-to-end technical training plan for TE&O employees (initial area of focus will be cloud transformation).  This role will also lead the global technical training roll-out for Personal Technology learning for all Sabre employees.


This position will work as part of the Office of the CIO to identify, build, align, integrate and execute technical skills programs in support of our tech stack strategy.  This includes building curriculum that differentiates in both content and delivery method according to core business needs and levels, while emphasizing core capabilities, competencies and behaviors required across the enterprise.   Responsible for identifying, evaluating and selecting training delivery methods and resources such as external vendors or web-based training portals. 

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent and Master’s strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and proven track record of designing and delivering training programs, consulting with key stakeholders to assess needs and offer recommendations and solutions to their challenges and facilitating team performance improvement and change initiatives
  • Expertise in assessment of training needs using best-practice methods and tools
  • Formal coaching education and experience preferred
  • Some familiarity with HR systems, including talent and learning management systems
  • Experience in project management preferred
  • Ability to work independently with some direction from senior colleagues
  • Can effectively cope with change and shift gears comfortably
  • Knowledgeable about instructional design methodology and application for effective adult learning
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize demands in a high energy, fast paced environment
  • Strong client-service and results orientation
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
