Job Description
The Travel Industry is at a crossroads and at the precipice of tremendous disruption. More and more airlines (and other companies in the ecosystem) are challenging historical conventions for how they define their product offerings, how they determine prices, and even how and where they choose to sell. Sabre is looking for a talented, experienced product management leader for Fares Optimizer product who not only recognizes the disruptive forces but can help define and execute a vision of “What’s next?” in airline pricing. The Product Manager for Fares Optimizer will be responsible for the company’s “next-generation” pricing capabilities using data science and ML models.
The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs into technology solutions that scale technically and operationally. This role drives advanced machine learning models in pricing using different data sets to create high value for airlines. The candidate will draw on customer feedback, pricing best practices from other sectors, usage and operational data, and their experience guiding technology businesses to set and deliver on extensive goals for adoption, operational performance, feature delivery, and revenue. The candidate must have good knowledge of ATPCO fare filing processes, pricing models, and airline pricing management.

The team consists of top-notch product managers driving innovation in Offer Optimization products and collaborating with Sabre Labs and Tech teams to build industry-leading products. The team uses various innovation frameworks and the best industry practices to drive innovation at scale. We share experiences and knowledge across products, support, and care for one another. Through collaboration, engagement, and challenging the boundaries, we create highly differentiated products of high-value creation.
Role & Responsibilities
What will you achieve?
Evaluate the needs of airline pricing models. pricing processes, and automation
Understand the pricing trends beyond the Travel Industry and create the path for including relevant capabilities into the product roadmap
Define an end-to-end product vision and strategy in alignment with Segment and Technology strategies
Define and launch product capabilities leveraging the use of ML/AI technologies.
Advance investment decisions, scope and roadmap for Fares Optimizer
Prioritize Product backlog, working closely with Tech and other adjacent product leaders to ensure roadmap execution
Work collaboratively with internal colleagues including Labs, Technology, Commercial, Professional Services Consulting & Support, Segment, Marketing, Finance and with other teams to drive the overall success of our products
Build a business case to support key investments
Represent the company externally on engagements with Customers, Vendors, etc

Preferred Qualifications
Seven to ten years of product management experience with hands-on knowledge in airline pricing management
Strong knowledge of ATPCO fare filing process and revenue management processes
Strategic thinker with a futuristic view on how to best position Fares Optimizer product as it relates to the rapidly evolving airline industry
Strong product management & leadership skills
Ability to work independently, think strategically, and communicate effectively with all levels of management, customers, vendors, etc.
Ability to create, prioritize and deliver roadmap at a tactical level to achieve the product vision
Ability to take complex, unstructured problems and quickly apply structure to surface meaningful insights and create outputs that drive alignment and action
Agile, flexible, and adaptable. Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions and copes effectively with complexity and change
Ability to work and partner effectively with other teams
