Job Description

 

Digital Experience (DX) is Sabre-powered eCommerce platform which allows airlines to shape their online experience, from built-in configuration capabilities to full control and customization, leveraging Sabre customer-centric retailing, distribution & fulfilment capabilities. The Principal Product Management for Sabre APIs & Internet Booking Engines (IBE) in Sabre’s Travel Solutions organization will execute the company’s global IBE strategy in alignment with the company's overall strategy and goals.  

 

The right candidate will join a team of Product Managers responsible for driving the Sabre Digital Experience (DX) IBE portfolio strategy forward.
As a Product Manager, you will provide direction to and ensure development meets market requirements; manage product release schedule and prioritizes opportunities. Manage the annual investment plan (including capitalized investment, maintenance, etc.). You will act as the subject matter expert on a consulting basis on multiple projects, playing a liaison between Technical Sales and Global Product Development, gathering, tracking, and translating customer feedback appropriately into business requirements.
 
The Product Manager will be a pragmatic visionary that can translate business needs into technology solutions that scale both technically and operationally. You will be responsible for bringing quality and enabling technical innovation, and will handle evolving / complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other internal organizations. Additionally, you will draw on customer feedback, usage and operational data, and your experience guiding technology businesses to set and deliver on extensive goals for adoption, operational performance, feature delivery, and revenue.
 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • 3-5 years' minimum experience in product management including experience in designing, developing and implementing platforms, APIs, and/or complex customer capabilities
  • Knowledgeable of the e-Commerce/retail space that includes marketing strategies, product development, competitive strategies, consumer research, industry trends and usability best practices.
  • Customer centric with proven ability to use data, customer feedback and analytic tools to support recommendations, prioritization and drive actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Experience in UX design.
  • Knowledge of Web Services / API technology (REST/SOAP) & API testing tools (eg. Postman).
  • Knowledge of Sabre system logic (formats, methods/functions to interact with the Sabre system).
  • Thorough understanding of airline processes; GDS industry/travel agency knowledge a plus.
  • Highly articulate with ability to connect with a wide variety of audiences at all levels within and outside of Sabre.
  • An innovative thinker who has the ability to approach situations from a different yet logical perspective.
