Job Description

Team Lead Systems Integration (Monitoring/Event)

This position is for a Team Lead System Integration with focus on the monitoring tools of Sabre in support of our complex IT Operations environments.  Members of this team are responsible for various infrastructure, tools and automation patterns.  We are pushing the boundaries by leveraging some of the most innovative tools in their spaces like AppDynamics and ServiceNow. We are also pushing the integrations with public and private cloud solutions to drive value for our customers.  Individuals of this team must be familiar with enterprise solutions, global demand requirements, and innovative technologies.  Members of this team cannot be bound by the norm and need creative problem solving skills, combined with a passion for automation, to help increase operational awareness of issues through superior monitoring.

Position Summary:

  • Develop and maintain the Enterprise training program for Sabre monitoring (AppDynamics, Zabbix, SolarWinds, …)
  • Document and keep up to date all training materials for class and self-paced training
  • Implement training classes for all levels at Sabre (Developers to Executives and customers when needed)
  • Design and implement the user interfaces for the monitoring tools
  • Develop and maintain standards documentation for health rules in the monitoring tools (recommendations as well as process management)
  • Drive the continuous review of standards for monitoring, health rules, and Event Management with the development and engineering teams. 
  • Support the implementation of monitoring, agents, health rules, and Event Management

Job Requirements

2-5 year’s IT Operations experience that includes (many if not all):

  • Customer operational expectations
  • Understanding of built in O/S monitoring and performance tools
  • Enterprise systems availability
  • SLA reporting, customer impact
  • Application performance analysis
  • Presentation development in Microsoft tools (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • User experience  - visualization development
  • Team player with all levels and types of personalities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and problem solving and understanding of statistics and proficiency in mathematical analyses
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University.

  • Monitoring standards and methodologies
  • Knowledge of ServicNOW event management, scripting and orchestration

  • Ansible automation
  • Solid understanding of Operating Systems (Linux/Windows)
  • Experience with deployment methodologies (chef, puppet). Ability to customize RPMs, knowledge of Windows management tools.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and basic troubleshooting tools.
  • Understanding of the interrelationships between the various infrastructure layers O/S, Disk, Network, NAS, SAN
  • Working with a wide variety of platforms and application stacks and ability to understand new application frameworks
