Job Description

Do you have a passion for Microsoft Teams and voice and video technologies? We’re looking for someone to champion operational and engineering excellence within our Teams voice and video environment, with over 10,000 global team members and 100’s of Teams Room systems.
The is a newly created position to make it your own, provide guidance to peers, and improve Sabre’s user experience of Teams voice and video services. The ideal candidate is communicative, analytical, and with practical engineering experience in Teams or Skype for Business services and devices.

Duties

 


•    Engineering support and deployment of Teams voice, Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) and other AV technology
•    Proactively manage Teams call quality using the Call Quality Dashboard (CQD), Teams Admin Center and Teams Room Portal
•    Produce Teams voice/AV related analytical reports and recommendations
•    Provide technical feedback and recommendations to improve engineering and design
•    Partner with Microsoft and internal network teams to provide call quality recommendations
•    Partner with project engineers to transition Team’s devices into operational
•    Manage the Teams Direct Routing service and vendor
•    Create an operational standard and cadence for analytical reviews and reporting
•    Tier III escalation point for the Service Desk and Field Engineering teams

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent

 

•    Minimum 5-years administering Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams Room systems
•    Minimum 5-years administering Skype or Teams voice services 
•    Minimum 5-years using Call Quality Dashboard or other analytical voice quality service
•    Excellent verbal and written communication and internal customer facing skills
•    Excellent knowledge of LAN, WAN and VPN technologies
•    Experience with AV systems Logitech, Poly, Crestron or Yealink
•    Experience and demonstrable knowledge with the following Microsoft Services – Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Microsoft Stream, Azure AD and InTune
•    Demonstrable knowledge of PowerShell scripts and ability to configured policies
•    Ability to use Wireshark for call quality analysis
•    Experience working within an ITIL framework
•    Knowledge of video encoders and configurations
