Job Description

 Database Reliability Engineering team runs multiple database platforms to support Hospitality division.  Our vision is to operate reliable, scalable, securely and cost efficiency database infrastructure to meet business needs.   


  •     Lead team of expert level database professionals across multiple database platforms
  •     Build practice of Database Reliability Engineering

We are seeking experienced, results-driven, and passionate leader to lead our database infrastructure team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter and has excellent communication skills. Our collaborative environment relies heavily on innovation, technical savvy, and problem-solving skills. You’ll lead and work with teams across the organization to build and maintain monitor-able, performant, reliable and highly scalable software systems.

Job Requirements

•    At least 10+ years of full-time Database Administration, expertise with Oracle or MSSQL and non-relational databases such as Couchbase, Cassandra
•    At least 5+ years in leadership role
•    Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience
•    Experience managing database platforms in high volume, large-scale, geographically diverse environments
•    Subject matter expertise with high availability solutions such as cluster, replication, standby
•    Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
•    Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning
•    Expert in Database Platforms, emerging database platforms, operating systems, storage options, networking, and security.
•    Knowledge of Agile/Dev Ops/CICD principles, practices, methodologies and tools
•    Experience with any Cloud (AWS, Azure, Oracle) database platform offerings and solutions
•    Provide technical direction to team members to develop, test and implement the solution as per the design and within the specified timelines
•    Lead internal communication with stakeholders, and ensure delivery of the project per commitment
•    Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to effectively integrate and communicate findings and use cases
•    Discover the current state of the client infrastructure and applications and present findings and observations related to readiness
•    Lead team in evaluating current state and present migration roadmaps to Cloud based database platform
•    Excellent communication and leadership skills
