The Risk Lead Analyst will report to the Risk Manager and will be a critical contributor on the Sabre’s Risk Team.  The Risk Lead Analyst will assist in maturing an effective Risk Management program, including risk policies, risk assessments, risk register and analysis to evaluate the design, testing, and implementation of new and existing technologies that work towards achieving Sabre’s goals and objectives.


The Risk Lead Analyst will be responsible for the risk management program including developing, maintaining, evaluating, and reporting on information security policies and standards in a manner that meets Sabre’s regulatory and business objectives. The Risk Lead Analyst will work proactively with the various business units and other internal organizations to implement practices that meet Sabre’s defined policies and standards for information risk management.


The ideal candidate for this position is a proven problem solver and integrator of people and processes, as well an effective internal consultant. The Risk Lead Analyst must also possess solid domain competencies in one or multiple of IT-risk-related disciplines, including security, business continuity, privacy, and compliance as well as written and communication skills.

What will you achieve? 

  • Direct evaluation of existing security systems and programs, and implement new or improved projects and procedures to close any identified deficiencies or gaps
  • Direct technical and information security activities including Policy education; document and material classification, control, and records management
  • Direct Personnel in the Security Policy Program, including IT risk analysis, scenarios and controls, issue management, project risk reviews, Supplier risk assessments, and internal investigations
  • Coordinates with various departments and vendors to identify areas of risk and assist with development of plans to establish and maintain ongoing Risk & Security policies
  • Direct evaluation of how policies measure against regulations, best practices, and industry standards
  • Identify risks, research and deploy state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Document and maintain key Risk & Security business process activities and know-how those activities impact the organization
  • Prepare, track and measure Risk & Security policy performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Implement established Risk & Security frameworks for the Information Security policy program
  • Develop metrics and KPIs for the Program maturity, operational, and executive reporting

Job Requirements


Must Have Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with IT audit or IT risk management required or a related discipline (for example, security, privacy, compliance or IT audit)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical writing (Policies, Procedures, Standards) with one or several cyber security or compliance frameworks (ISO27000, NIST, PCI-DSS, SOX, SOC1, SOC2, GDPR, etc.) Strong communications and attention to detail are also essential
  • Experience performing IT control testing required
  • Experience documenting control gaps required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and execute on multiple tasks required
  • Ability to work independently with multiple groups with a minimal amount of supervision required
  • Ability to complete tasks timely (demonstrating solid organizational skills, task tracking, follow-up, and productive peer interaction) required
  • Demonstrated ability in communicating effectively, both verbally and written required
  • Ability to negotiator, facilitate commitment to, and sign-off on, appropriate levels of residual risk
  • Strong organization skills, analytical problem solving, and strategic thinking skills with attention to detail
  • Self-directed with good judgment on when to escalate
  • High level of personal integrity, with the ability to handle confidential and otherwise sensitive matters professionally and with the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
  • Highly desired Certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA or C-CISO
