Job Description


Sabre seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist with implementation of social media strategies and execution efforts. Reporting to the Manager of Global Communications and Digital Media Strategy, this contractor position will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Corporate Communications, Marketing, Regional Communications, Commercial and Customer Support) to meet business objectives and amplify a differentiated brand story. 


The Contractor will help identify, conceptualize, and execute social media campaigns to boost engagement, educate and inform Sabre’s audience about the company’s product offerings, recent announcements, thought-leadership, event participation, employee recruiting and community efforts. The Contractor will help create content calendars, develop and distribute text and video-based content, monitor social media channels, support promotional, regional and marketing efforts, draft Sabre blog pieces, newsletter items, and help create a process roadmap for managing information requests. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manages the company’s social media accounts, blogs, newsletters and collaborates with external agency partner on posting content.
  • Brainstorms on implements social campaign ideas and channel execution that directly support business objectives and goals.
  • Helps create assets related to brand storytelling within digital channels including images, infographics, slides, and photos.
  • As needed, uses fundamental photography skills to capture professional looking photos and short videos for digital sharing. 
  • Knows and stays abreast of best practices with various social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Evaluates and develops process roadmap for managing customer inquiries or requests received through social channels.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of paid social media campaigns and/or targeted organic posts.
  • Establishes and tracks ongoing metrics, including campaign and event effectiveness, user engagement, social attribution and competitive success.
  • Identifies successes and improvement opportunities. Tracks brand awareness measurements to determine campaign ROI and monitor other KPIs.
  • Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, talent recruitment objectives, community outreach, and all other aspects of Sabre offerings.
  • Stays up to date on current market trends and social conversations around travel and technology and uses this intelligence to drive digital performance specific to a B2B company
  • Collaborates with external agency to ensure programs are on strategy and aligned with brand standards.
  • Monitors competitive activity and identifies opportunities to advance Sabre’s market position.

Job Requirements


Preferred Education:
A recent graduate or with 1-4 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in communications or related field such as advertising, journalism, or marketing

Preferred Skills: 

  • 1-4 years of related digital communications experience. Ideal candidate has experience in paid social campaigns and analytics and content strategy development.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate independently. Comes forth with proactive suggestions, plans, reports and process improvements. Understands and operates with a sense of urgency when needed.
  • Experience with enterprise-level social management tools and strong understanding of useful social KPIs. Understands how to use data to conduct analyses that drive action.
  • Willing to travel a few times per year for industry event support.
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Creativity
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and has a proven ability to operate well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
