Job Description

The Airline Solutions Portfolio Management Director will serve a critical role in the execution of the SabreNext vision across Airline Solutions and Sabre. This role will be responsible for creation and execution of the AS investment portfolio plan and three-year MYO. The ideal candidate will bring considerable knowledge of software/technology company systems and processes as well as experience in highly-matrixed, cross-functional environments where ‘leading by influence’ and collaboration are prerequisite. Experience with the airline IT or similar industry is highly preferred. As a delegate of the line of business, this position will have high-visibility to Sabre Finance and AS/TS executive leadership as well as e-team/BOD/Investor-level presentations.

 

Position Responsibilities

Works closely with Sabre product management leaders to define and drive a companywide portfolio management process, which includes:

  • Cross-portfolio assessment of investment plans
  • Corporate level investment recommendations and prioritization based on cross-portfolio assessment and annual budget planning, including process and artifacts required to establish the annual plan of record.
  • Provides leadership and AS representation in future-state Sabre process and tool evaluation, design, and implementation.

 

Accountable for ensuring the AS plan of record exists, is prioritized and that controls are in place to ensure all projects are created in line with financial/audit/accounting requirements.

  • Coordinate and track Quarterly roadmap performance, plan vs. actual development labor performance, and capex mix forecast and utilization performance.
  • Provides reporting/analysis for Monthly Operation Review and Monthly Performance Review indicating progress/lack of progress against plan.

 

Develop close collaboration with Airline Solutions Product Development (ASPD) and Travel Solutions Product Development (TSPD) key partners to enable achievement to plan and constant communication on plan execution milestones

Drive AS Roadmap updates and communication to ensure sales enablement and customer alignment on forward plan

Leads AS-wide initiatives across Commercial Solutions portfolio across multiple teams and stakeholders

Partner with Professional Services and Consulting to drive and achieve in-year revenue plan across Commercial Solutions related to PSC

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years related experience; 8 years prior supervisory experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong management/leadership ability. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
