Job Description


Offer Management and Ancillary Offers (OMAO) is an organization uses AI/ML algorithms to build offers using airline schedules, fares, ancillaries, car and hotel data to derive the best personalized offers. Our products and solutions powers flight searches with personized offers for the largest agencies worldwide and is at the heart of the new Sabre Red Workspace and Airline products.  

We are a highly innovative team partnered with Sabre Labs (SLPS) to bring new products to production using collaborative team concept. Development team emphasizes a culture of teamwork, respect, individual accountability, growth and innovation. We are focused on delivering high quality products and strives to be a trusted partner to Offer Optimization and Offer Sourcing product area.

When you join our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in every phase of Machine Learning software development life cycle: feature design, implementation, testing, deployment and production support. You will participate in running and analyzing big battery of automated tests: functional, integration, performance and destructive. 


You walk away with practical experience on how to develop a ML production ready code, test and get to see your code running in production.

Job Requirements


Preferred Education: 

Currently pursuing a graduate degree graduating after August 2021. Undergraduate (Graduate preferred) degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics


The candidate should possess the following characteristics:

  • A strong passion to identify and solve real business problems using data and algorithms 
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal or no direction
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to identify and promote innovative travel products, and solve the internal puzzles and prototype the end product
  • Ability to move seamlessly between business problems and coding
  • Good presentation skills to explain complicated analytical solutions to a non-technical group of people, internal or external
  • Creativity in using available tools and out-of-the-box thinking to provide the best solution to problems
  • Ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate innovative travel products and applications
  • Persistence and willingness to learn and apply new techniques/new tools constantly
  • Experience working with very large datasets which happen to be residing in different data stores in different formats 



  • Learn business problems and design and build ML/AI and Advanced Analytics models to solve them.
  • Learn to Design and build working data pipelines to move data between different source systems to be self-sufficient in Data engineering
  • Learn to own the prototype solution end-to-end 
  • Learn to collaborate with other teams using analytics platform to perform advanced analytics. 


Key technical background:

  • Knowledge of analytical tools such as R, Python, SAS or other statistical packages, 
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Business Intelligence, Reporting and other advanced analytics tools and how they access data on different data stores
  • Hands on with programming skills, such as Python, R, Scala or Java.
  • Hands on with Hadoop-related technologies, MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Impala, etc.
  • Understanding of open source Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence libraries such as Spark MLlib, H2o.ai, TensorFlow, etc.
  • Knowledge in scaling Machine learning solutions. 
  • Working knowledge in large-scale/distributed SQL, Hadoop, NoSQL, HBase, Columnar databases
