Job Description

 

Sabre is seeking a top-flight and highly motivated Contributor User Experience Researcher. You will have the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of spaces including physical devices, mobile apps, online services, and space design in the travel sector. You will establish the product vision and impact customer experience at every stage. You will work collaboratively with designers, product managers, developers, content strategists, users, and executives -- leading research throughout the planning and development lifecycle and take projects to the finish line.

In this position you’ll have a significant impact on our business as you take a leadership role in setting the research strategy and direction for new products and services. You will be responsible for driving a research strategy and implementing it, across multiple domains. In addition to working closely with your research peers across Sabre, you will interact daily with product managers, designers, and developers to understand and guide the team’s research needs (known and unknown), including designing and conducting research activities. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of user research methods and best practices, but also have a nimble, creative and pragmatic approach, and is interested in pushing the boundaries of agile research.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build a UX research plan; communicate and refresh on regular basis to ensure relevancy
  • Identify best method or mix of methods based on research questions, timeline, and resourcing
  • Design experiments that distill project goals and research questions into well thought-out research plans
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize research questions based on analysis of current knowledge, project goals, and risks

 

 

Job Requirements

 

EDUCATION

  • BS in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or similar.

OR

  • Equivalent years of experience in the field of UX research

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years related experience.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g.: study plans, reports, personas, etc.)
  • End-to-end experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
  • Hands-on experience with: lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, field research, international research, and survey design
  • Strong grasp of quantitative data analysis and statistics
  • Research experience with mobile devices and tablets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; able to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying level of the organization
  • Advanced computer software skills
