GENERAL DESCRIPTION: 

 

This position is for a System Engineer supporting our complex IT environments looking to gain experience with designing, implementing, operating, and scaling systems into hosted environments.  This position will allow for interactions between Systems & DevOps technologies, approaches, and platforms required by our development and deployment processes.  Candidate will also be exposed to the latest software development, automation, and deployment practices that are currently leveraged by Sabre.  Candidate will have the opportunities to grow their knowledge of system infrastructure management products and tools, emerging technologies, application design, and distributed systems monitoring. Individual will obtain basic understandings of capacity planning, disaster recovery solutions, and tuning / optimizing the environment to operate efficiently.

 

 

Job role

  • Responsible for working with teams to implement non-functional requirements
  • Responsible for working with teams for monitoring, alerting, automation, and other related improvements projects
  • Work with teams on execution of agreed upon technical solutions and strategies
  • Serve as a technical contact on projects as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot technology issues, using various internal and external resources.
  • Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.
  • Work closely with team members and internal customers to understand needs, technology landscape, and changing requirements. 
  • Develop a solid understanding of Sabre products and supported technologies.

 

Job Requirements

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a grad date of August 2019 to December 2020.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of operational experience

Basic understanding of developing and deploying uniquely developed applications

Basic understanding of System Administration and development responsibilities

Basic understanding of network technology, topologies, and functionalities

Knowledge of performance/load testing and security issues

Knowledge of deploying and / or operating middleware solutions

Knowledge of security technologies and techniques

Knowledge of orchestration technologies and techniques

Knowledge of system management technologies and techniques

Analytical and troubleshooting skills

Experience in UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.
