Job Description

Under general direction, the Staff IT Auditor will be primarily responsible for conducting and reporting the results of information technology (IT) operational audits and performing SOX IT general control testing.  Candidates should be proficient in performing these responsibilities as an individual contributor.

 

General Description:

  • As an individual contributor, review audit programs and risk assessments, and subsequently conduct testing for IT-related audits (i.e. infrastructure, systems development, change management, applications, security) in accordance with the annual audit plan.
  • Work with external auditors during the SSAE 16 audit (SOC 1) and perform procedures at their direction.
  • Prepare comprehensive, well-written, audit work papers documenting the test steps performed, audit results and recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing draft audit reports and communicating audit observations to management.
  • Ability to independently complete audit work assignments with supervisory oversight.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Travel up to 10%
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree MIS or related field of study
  • A minimum of one year of IT audit (internal / external) experience or relevant business experience
  • Beginning / intermediate understanding of IT applications, processes, and controls
  • Experience with SOX IT general control testing and auditing various systems and technologies including SAP
  • Experience with information technology regulatory requirements, best practices and risk assessment methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent organizational skills

 

Preferred Background:

  • Information systems or internal audit certification is a plus (i.e.: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA))
  • Experience with SAP (S/4 HANA) and / or mainframe systems preferred
  • Technology/travel industry experience preferred
  • Experience with audit software (i.e.: ACL) and data extraction and analysis is a plus
