The OCC Operations Team will play a key role in support all of Sabre’s cutting-edge platforms that support over 85,000 transactions per second. The OCC Global team is the first line of support for all Sabre platforms worldwide. 


Accountable For: 

Responsible for providing support for operational database services to the organization.
Owns, tracks and resolves database related event, issues, incidents and coordinate with respective application and infra owners
Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Supports 24x7 operations in rotating shifts, resolves incidents within SLAs
Reviews service related reports (database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs
Responding to investigate database related alerts and escalations and working with others within the organization to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems.

Job Requirements

A minimum of 4 years of experience in database administration and support in Oracle versions 10g through 12c.
Expertise needed setting up, monitoring and troubleshooting Oracle Golden Gate.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
Master in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, leveraging appropriate monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Extensive experience with the latest Oracle performance monitoring tools and methods.
Expertise with physical and logical schema design and troubleshoot common issues.
Ability to detect and troubleshoot potential database related issues and constraints (CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, etc.).
Experience with data loading in Oracle from other non-RDBMS systems.
Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, Database commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication.
Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy. Work well under stress with the ability to deliver on time.
Ability to be on call production support on a rotation basis.
Experience working with SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 desired but not mandatory.
Experience working on MYSQL.

Minimum 2- 4 years related experience in Command Center or NOC environments
Understanding of Operations and PAAS / SAAS environments
Knowledge in IT Service Management and Service NOW
Strong background in working in a critical production support 24*7 environment.
Strong background in technical support and L1 support.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4-5 years of similar work experience.
