Job Description

 

The Regional Director, North Asia will be responsible for managing Sabre’s agency sales business across Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and other North Asia markets. Leading a team of high performing sales professionals, the Regional Director, North Asia will develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with Sabre’s overall strategic direction. This individual will need to achieve and exceed business targets profitably and manage and strengthen local business relationships with agency customers and other industry players.

 

Role and Responsibilities:   
•    Managing a high-performance team that is focused on achieving and exceeding sales, growth, and profitability targets for the market
•    Building and executing an annual operating plan and sales plan to achieve bookings targets, renewal targets and new business targets
•    Ensuring high utilization of Sabre’s best-in-class sales methods, practices, and tools 
•    Building and maintaining strong relationships with travel agency customers, airline representatives and other key contacts within the travel ecosystem
•    Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with responsibility for establishing Sabre as the market leader 
•    Managing the relationships with and strengthening the performance of Sabre’s North Asia distribution partners
•    Acting as the Sabre ambassador for Sabre’s travel agency business in the relevant market during senior leadership visits, corporate events, trade forums and discussions
•    Building a cultural of winning and empowerment, aligned around Sabre’s core values
•    Developing localized regional strategies to best execute Sabre’s strategic direction 
•    Driving adoption of Sabre’s leading technology products and solutions and identifying opportunities to supplement needs with localized products and solutions

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
•    10 years leadership experience in a regional role   
•    Graduate qualification in business preferred
•    Strong sales execution focus & track record
•    Experience in the airline, travel, or technology industries with a proven track record in building and leading profitable businesses and high performing teams
•    Strategic thinker, with credible track record operating in a highly matrixed environment, focusing on continuous process improvement, revenue growth and profitability
•    Language skills – fluent in English and well versed with a second language (Mandarin, Korean, Japanese) an added advantage
