Job Description

Country Manager - Italy

The ideal candidate will have a full accountability for leading the Sabre Agency organization and delivering a growth strategy in the Italian market. 

This highly recognized position is responsible for individual and unit annual sales goals. 

Main responsiblities are:

  • Drive changes to the commercial model and bring new revenue streams. 
  • Deliver sustainable profit as well as the market share growth in the Italian market. 
  • Direct a team of professionals with efforts resulting in the development and implementation of designated sales initiatives and business plans. 
  • Responsible for developing and nurturing multiple key client relationships with customers complemented with superior customer service. 
  • Responsible for delivering world class products and services through profitable renewal, conversion and new sale development. 
  • Maintain and develop a network of strategic partners to ensure optimal market penetration. 
  • It may also monitor the performance of a cross functional team of consultants, individual contributors and sales people internally and externally connected to Sabre. 
  • Maintain a high level of customer involvement and is responsible for establishing Sabre as the global leader in this segment. 
  • Define and lead new segment strategies and prioritize commercial and marketing activities accordingly. 
  • Maintain a highly visible presence in the Italian market and within Sabre by actively driving the sales activities and developing best practices.
  • Act as point of contact for the Italian legal entity representing all Sabre Business.
  • Co-represent the Italian legal entity regarding any legal / tax / audit issues
  • Managed in accordance with corporate guidelines decision re the Italian legal entity (e.g. office suppliers/car lease agreements/ mobile providers).
  • Co-represent Italy in front Italian authorities and “Collegio Sindacale” (audit body).

Job Requirements

  • 10 years related experience preferred in the travel industry or SaaS technology companies with focus on strategic customers. 
  • Strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen. 
  • Extensive understanding of the Italian market landscape including competitive information, key trends, opportunities, and threats. 
  • Strong organizational and proven leadership abilities. 
  • Proven ability of influencing cross-functional teams within a matrix organization. 
  • Strong internal and external customer relationship-building and negotiation skills. 
  • Extensive people management experience with ability to motivate and lead through a change. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinates. 
  • Fluency in both English and Italian.
  • Location of the role is Italy and ideal candidate must be based there
