Job Description

Position Summary

The Manager FP&A- EMEA reports to the Director Finance EMEA and leads the FP&A team for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. The role holder will manage current and proposed financial plans and policies and recommends changes that will accrue to the organization's profitability. This is a people management position and requires collaborative skills to work with teams spread across geographies. Responsible for analyzing and evaluating financial performance of a department, division, operating/business unit or project. Coordinates and leads financial reporting and planning for an assigned function/department, project or business section; may include billing/pricing, annual operating budget and capital plan. Develops customer/product/pricing profitability models and analyzes results. Consolidates monthly financial results and reports variances. Supports ad hoc requests for business analysis from senior management.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Assure accurate analysis and reporting of ROI for all regions within EMEA enabling the business Leaders to link business and financial outcomes with their respective investments.
  • Lead the Financial Planning function for EMEA specifically leading the forecast, month close and variance analysis process, annual and multiyear planning processes.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
  • Provide strategic insights into the performance of the business and potential opportunities for incremental revenue generation. Ideation and implementation of FCF improvement initiatives across EMEA region.
  • Partner with the business leaders to Identify, measure, and drive productivity as well as critical business performance KPIs on an ongoing basis.
  • BE part of initiatives to Improve financial systems, reporting processes and overall efficiency improvement of the finance function.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Partner with Global finance leadership teams in adhoc projects to improve the financial planning and budget management functions.
  • Lead and Provide leadership and support to business functional teams as they prepare financial reports, outlooks and forecasts, and develop multi-year business plans.
  • Contribute to the annual goal setting process for the EMEA business leadership team
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the business units.
  • Identify control weaknesses in financial processes and support the team to identify and implement solutions to address issues.
  • Support the Boards of various JVs and partnerships with performance analysis and strategic analysis from time to time.

Job Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of relevant experience (prior people management experience essential) a technology/FMCG or TMC organization.
  • He/she will have knowledge of finance, planning and budgeting, capital allocation and risk adjusted return and cost control principles.
  • Exposure to accounting is an added advantage but not essential. 
  • Superior communication skills with an ability to communicate complex issues in a crisp, clear and concise way will be ideal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced organization and handling ambiguity.
  • A Master’s degree is preferred.
