Job Description

Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst role is the primary finance business partner for the Vice-President of a specific region reporting into the Financial Analysis Manager.  The incumbent will be responsible for providing in depth analysis for the region to support future commercial performance and understand impact of sales and strategic initiatives.  From an analytical perspective, success in this role will be determined by the ability to distill external reference points along with internal data to identify, communicate and help implement data driven recommendations to improve business performance. In practice this means the Financial Analyst –will have the analytical and abstract reasoning skills to synthesize complex and detailed data and information into meaningful insights.  

Position Responsibilities


Support commercial deal review process: (50%)
•    Serve as the primary point person for all agency deals leading the process from inception to completion.
•    Support the evolution of the deal review process by driving improvements to the quality of the deals approved.
•    Support resolution of commercial complications with customers

Support critical recurring and ad-hoc commercial reporting and analysis to drive the business: (30%) 
•    Analyze internal / external information using data manipulation, correlation and statistical analysis.
•    Support leadership with financial analysis and modelling as needed to support target achievement.
•    Review actual sales performance relative to targets for volume and incentives.
•    Execute specialized customer analysis to support increased market penetration and share of customer wallet.  
•    Support Regional Vice-President for business review meetings with customers and TN Leadership.
•    Build models to assess the impact of strategic plans and initiatives.
•    Assist in modelling deals for Air Commerce organization

Support the planning and analysis for JVs and other partnerships: (20%)
•    Work with leadership team to develop annual plan designed to achieve company’s market share goals.
•    Responsible or support of Board of Director financial packs and analysis, planning and forecasting.
•    Assist leadership with defining market opportunities and developing sales plans at a country level.  
•    Implement and monitor rigorous cost monitoring and controls to ensure profitability of the partnership

•    Anticipates questions and prepares appropriate responses or answers.
•    Uses narratives, like stories and analogies, to communicate messages.
•    Presents compelling arguments to support positions.
•    Constructively challenges business partner assumptions and goals.
•    Demonstrated advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills.
•    Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
•    The desire and tenacity to grow within the organization.
•    Ability to work well as part of a team
Education/Experience: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
•    3+  years of applicable analytical experience 
•    Technology or software sector experience (preferred).
