Principal Product Marketing – Sabre Virtual Payments

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Sabre’s Travel Network is seeking an experienced product marketing manager to assume marketing responsibilities for our Sabre Virtual Payments product.  Sabre Virtual Payments is an existing product offering and is growing as a strategic revenue opportunity within our product portfolio. 

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for your products. You will craft the messaging and positioning for your products and you will be expected to develop innovative marketing programs to drive demand.  In your role as a Product Marketing Manager you will be the expert in your product buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that promotes the benefits of our Virtual Payments offering
  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools to support the selling process of our products
  • Create and conduct customer presentations, attend customer meetings and travel to interesting places
  • Work closely with internal teams (Global Operations, Technology, Sales and Product Management) to drive product awareness and adoption
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on your customers, how they use our products and their buying experience
  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
  • Contribute to the cross-functional implementation of our Go to Market process
  • Manage marketing relationships associated with our growing virtual payment partners
Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years of related business-to-business marketing experience, product strategy experience, and/or business development experience.  Co-op marketing experience is a plus!
  • 3-5 years of experience in payment related field such as fintech, banking services/payments, mobile banking apps, card issuing/processing, or payment networks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Economics. Master’s degree in business or marketing preferred
  • Strong cross-team constituent collaboration skills working with sales and product teams
  • Expertise in the latest modern marketing techniques such as social media, digital content marketing, marketing automation and account-based marketing
  • Self-starter and a proven ability to operate well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Willing and able to travel 10-15% as required (Sabre-hosted conferences/workshops, industry/trade events, Global/HDQ offices)
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a global team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required with the ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences (sales, customers, executives)
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment to deliver results

 

You will be expected to provide marketing leadership associated with the promotion of our virtual payments product, including the ability to clearly articulate the benefits this product provides to our customers.  You will talk to customers and account managers and business partners.  You will answer mountains of emails, attend unnecessary meetings, and, at the end of the day, still make a difference at Sabre.
