Job Description

 

The Finance Manager, Global OTA role is the primary finance business partner for the Vice-President of a Global OTA reporting into the Director of Financial Analysis, TN.  This newly created role will be responsible for the development of the Global OTA Finance Team.  The incumbent will also be responsible for providing in depth analysis for the region to support future commercial performance and understand impact of sales and strategic initiatives.  From an analytical perspective, success in this role will be determined by the ability to distill external reference points along with internal data to identify, communicate and help implement data driven recommendations to improve business performance. In practice, this means the Finance Manager and team will help drive sales and overall business decisions by insightful analysis based on data.

 

Support commercial process:

  • Lead the coordination of OTA deal presentation to senior management
  • Support the evolution of the deal review process by driving improvements to the quality of the deals approved on profitability levels, structure, business model and insightful comparisons.
  • Support resolution of commercial complications with customers
  • Assist leadership with defining market opportunities and developing sales plans at a market level
  • Execute specialized customer analysis to support increased market penetration and share of customer wallet. 

 

Support critical recurring reporting and analysis to drive the business:

  • Analyze internal / external information using data manipulation, correlation and statistical analysis to drive forecast accuracy.
  • Responsible or support of President Operations Review financial packs and analysis, planning and forecasting in support of Regional Vice President
  • Support leadership with financial analysis and modelling as needed to support target achievement.
  • Work with leadership team and planning analysts to develop annual plan designed to achieve company’s goals.
  • Implement and monitor rigorous cost monitoring and controls to ensure profitability

 

Drive and stand-up best in class Global OTA Finance Team:

  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to team
  • Develop and enhance overall team capabilities
  • Assess organization needs and make recommendations on required support structure
  • Partner with Regional counterparts globally to drive best in class process adoption
  • Develop overall finance team talent pipeline

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex and detailed data into meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully apply forecasting techniques to evaluate business goals
  • Articulates views in a clear and concise manner, including financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
  • Anticipates questions and prepares appropriate responses or answers.
  • Uses narratives, like stories and analogies, to communicate messages.
  • Presents compelling arguments to support positions.

  • Demonstrated advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills.
  • Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years related experience; at least 2 years prior management experience preferred.
  • Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and Oracle Hyperion. Experience working with large data sets to drive insights for executive.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to build trust with senior leaders, both in person and over the phone, to drive growth for the business unit.
  • Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate employees; proven leadership ability.
  • Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships at all levels both within the organization
