The Principal IT Project Manager works as part of the SPM EMEA team who has the experience and capability to exercise independent judgment to apply advanced skills, concepts, practices and procedures to support revenue management system delivery and post cutover product adoption. Key element of this position is to drive and make profound decisions that have impact on success of the project team, department, work group and customers.


  • Work closely with revenue management system users during product delivery and after implementation
  • Publish regular internal and external reports on relevant KPIs (schedules, budget and expenses, risks and issue) and acts on it to support the project’s success and to advise senior management and executives of program / project and client status
  • Provides early warnings and quality assurance
  • Interact with customers and collaborate with the internal stakeholders (operations, technology, sales and marketing)
  • Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Supervises and/or develops and manages communication plan to include content, frequency, audience and channels
  • Conducts Project Management functions (develop processes improvements, documentation, project management playbooks, lessons learned, etc.)
  • Facilitates program and project level issues and change management resolution
  • Manages projects / program from initiation through delivery till closure
  • Actively participates in global Delivery & Care initiatives

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in math or tech, master’s degree preferred
  • Airline domain expertise preferred
  • Experience in management consulting, working for a software vendor and/or in the travel industry preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory / revenue management systems preferred
  • Minimum 5 years revenue management experience, program and project management experience or equivalent
  • Excellent analytical skills, is detail-oriented and, interacts well with others
  • Broad knowledge of the functional area such as tools, methodologies and process understanding of quality assurance concepts
  • Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills; excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Russian languages (additional languages can be an advantage); ability to communicate to the senior executives
  • Understands the concepts, definitions and application of project reports
  • Intimate knowledge with delivery methods and standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; Fully proficient in MS Project
  • Must be able to interface appropriately at program and project team level
  • Good track record in customer facing role and communication
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and supporting virtual distributed teams
