Job Description

The Vice President, Legal will be a strategic partner to the Indirect channel business, including travel agencies, and will have the following responsibilities:

 

• Management of global staff consisting of attorneys that supports the Travel Solutions indirect customer segment.
• Other responsibilities include regional litigation support, investigations and regulatory actions.
• A member of the Travel Solutions- Sales management team supporting the Travel Solutions Chief Commercial Officer and helps set the strategic direction of the Indirect channel segment.
• Supports and advises in a wide range of legal areas including anti-trust, commercial transactions, regulatory, litigation, and M&A.
• Will draft and negotiate complex commercial transactions such as JV formations and global customer agreements. Drafts templates for use with less complex transactions and offers legal support to the contracts organization.
• Has budget responsibility. Manages outside counsel.
• Supports Sabre wide initiatives.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. Must have prior in- house counsel experience in a fast paced, global organization.
• Unquestioned integrity and excellent judgment. Ability to make difficult decisions based on company-wide goals and strategies.
• Executive presence with ability to inspire confidence and gain and hold the trust of executive management.
• Forward thinking and creative. Strong business acumen, particularly in determining the significance of legal matters and effectively ensuring and minimizing risks.
• Strong organizational skills and work ethic, with ability to handle many complex issues simultaneously, prioritizing and effectively management projects.
• Ability to draft and negotiate complex transactions.
• Ability to work across multiple functions, such as human resources and finance.
• Exceptional relationship building skills – ability to work effectively and have high impact working at all levels – upward/downward/sideways. Ability to work effectively with peers around the world.
• Demonstrates an enterprise mindset, ensures the team supports the needs of the broader business. Works openly and collaboratively.
• Juris Doctor degree is a must. Must be licensed to practice in the U.K.
