Job Description


The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to strengthen the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function of OTA business reporting directly to FP&A Manager. The successful candidate will be thoughtful, analytical, and self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and will interact with teams across time zones. Furthermore, the role is expected to collaborate with stakeholders supporting ongoing process improvement and will support the FP&A Manager in monthly close and forecasting cycles, annual budgeting process and should add value through innovation and deep dive analysis into the business drivers.


Position Responsibilities


Key contributor in the Monthly Close & Forecasting cycle (50%)


  • Ownership of monthly close process including incentive accruals and variance analysis.
  • Must be able to appropriately use and manipulate the company systems and technologies to access the data and information.
  • The position requires not only the collection of data but more importantly financial support through the interpretation and analysis of the trends and interrelationships that allow informed business decisions to be made.
  • Provides financial analyses, Short/long-range forecasting and detailed reporting associated with potential sales opportunities.
  • Contributing to the development and communication of insights and risks that relate to forecasts, budgets and performance against targets, challenging assumptions where required.


Support the annual planning & budgeting for the division: (10%)


  • Work with Commercial leadership team and central planning function to develop annual plan designed to achieve company’s goals.
  • Provide timely and accurate data and analysis to all relevant stakeholders to help in getting annual plan approved.


Support critical recurring and ad-hoc commercial reporting and analysis to drive the business: (40%)


  • Analyze internal / external information using data manipulation, correlation and statistical analysis to develop transaction projection models designed at providing leading indicators.
  • Support leadership with financial analysis and modelling as needed to support target achievement.
  • Execute specialized customer analysis to support increased market penetration and share of customer wallet.
  • Support all Strategic Projects for the division.

Job Requirements


Must Have Skills:

•    Analytical, quantitative, problem solving skills, Advanced level skills in Data manipulation and data modelling. Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of output.
•    Curious mind set and self-starter; Be interested in the story that the numbers are telling and able to communicate messages clearly and concisely.
•    Excellent business acumen, with a commercial mind-set. Target and delivery focused.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Advance level with Microsoft applications, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion is preferable.




•    University level of education, preferably a Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting.
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in Financial planning & analysis.
•    Technology/ Software, travel or service sector experience (preferred).
