Role Overview

 

Sabre's Professional Services team is proficient at analysing issues and obstacles to determine root causes, weighing options, choosing appropriate courses of action and drafting and revising solutions based on experience and results from Proofs of Concept. Reporting to the VP of Service Offering, the Senior Solutions Architect Consultant will be a key global partner for our Professional Services team.

The Senior Solutions Architect Consultant is responsible for leading solutioning engagements with customers, including both airlines and travel agencies. Partnering with key stakeholders, the role will use Sabre’s products and services to create solutions and solve customers’ business and technical problems. Serving as a hands-on advisor, the Senior Solutions Architect Consultant will also need to utilise strong interpersonal skills, Sabre product functional and technical knowledge, travel industry experience and consulting experience in order to become a trusted partner to our customers. 

The successful candidate will be a strong presenter and facilitator, obtaining customer acceptance by understanding and delivering the right strategic solution and, as necessary, driving difficult conversations to facilitate business strategies. Candidates also need to possess a high-level of teamwork, as the role requires partnering with a variety of internal Sabre teams (technical architects, solution delivery team members, services team members, sales engineers and product team members) to develop, refine and validate a solution for the customer (predominantly in the grey / white box area) as well as external parties to understand requirements, analyse information and design comprehensive solutions. The Senior Solutions Architect Consultant must demonstrate a strong understanding of typical business challenges faced by customers and common objectives. Seen as a domain and technical expert, this role would also need to contribute to thought leadership and best practices (re-use), both internally and externally.

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Leverage Sabre’s portfolio of products and services or third-party services in an innovative way to address customers’ business problems.
  • Utilise consulting experience to build business use cases for customers. (e.g. Airline wants to digitise re-accommodation integration with current non-Sabre systems.) 
  • Partner with Sales team, Service Executives, Product & Sales Engineers, etc. to craft solutions and propose standards to measure solutions.
  • Collect data around market needs and re-use solutions over time, where appropriate.
  • Drive solutioning workshops with customers and Sabre experts as necessary, with the objective of finding the most optimal solution for a business problem.
  • Keep abreast of changing product (enhancements and roadmaps), technology and service offerings.
  • Work closely with Service Offering Managers to produce necessary collaterals and initiate demand generation for solution work.
  • Engage customers along with the Sales and Service Executives as needed. 
  • Guide and support other teams to prepare RFI, RFQ or RFP requests.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering or similar field with a master's degree highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology or product consulting / implementation, with at least 5+ years in solution architecture.
  • Experience in working with technical, product and/or enterprise B2B software ( SaaS / cloud / CRM ) preferred.
  • Exposure to the travel domain from a technology standpoint is highly preferred.
  • Ability to be persuasive in sensitive situations without damaging peer or customer relationships.
  • Deep technical and analytical thinking capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects presenting to senior executives.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to travel across EMEA markets as needed.
