Job Description

We are looking for a Field Marketing Principal, with expertise in Account Based Marketing, to look after Sabre Travel Network business.
 

The Field Marketing Manager will support the Europe, Middle East and Africa Sales organisation to meet or exceed the commercial targets, by developing marketing strategies and plans, and executing marketing campaigns to accelerate the sales pipeline in strategic markets across the region. Your main target audience are travel agencies, air and hotel suppliers.

 

Reporting to the Field Marketing Leader and based in London, the Field Marketing Principal will work together with his/her Peers located across the region and worldwide, and all global Marketing functions (Brand & Comms, Segment and Product Marketing, Sales Readiness) as an integral part of the Global Marketing organisation.

 

The candidate will ensure that global, regional and local campaigns are consistently and effectively implemented in markets. This includes input of local market needs into EMEA and global campaigns and evaluation of marketing contribution to local and regional sales goals, as well as measuring progress and success of the plans and report back results to senior leaders.

 

  • Customer programs:
  • Design and execute customised 1:1 Account Based Marketing programs for some of our largest prospect and customer accounts in EMEA. This includes research and intelligence to build marketing insights, strategic planning, marketing communications, and relationship management.
  • Plan and implement specialised programs designed to accelerate the sales pipeline across a broader volume of accounts.

 

  • Marketing strategy, planning and execution:

 

  • Responsible for driving the global marketing strategy in agreed markets in EMEA with primary focus on the UK.
  • Create and implement annual marketing plan, defining the marketing mix that drives familiarity and consideration of the brand, lead generation, increased awareness and adoption of technology solutions as well as conversion and retention of business.
  • Execute customer-facing activities through optimum mix of online and offline channels; industry and customer events as well as sponsorships and speaker placements.

 

  • Sales Engagement:
    • Partner with and support Sales and Account Management teams to contribute directly to commercial growth goals by understanding the pipeline and being able to drive targeted and insightful pipeline acceleration tactics across the customer lifecycle
    • In partnership with sales, develop and execute account based marketing plans for our top strategic pursuits across EMEA for a select number of accounts.
    • Ensure local Sales teams are equipped with up-to-date value-based marketing material and drive adoption of new sales tools.
    • Support the Go-to-Market activity for new product and content releases.

 

  • Marketing Effectiveness:
    • Manage and deploy marketing budget in a disciplined and impactful manner
    • Contribute to pan EMEA marketing projects and core country remit

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
  • Several years proven marketing experience in an international company with previous responsibility in field, channel, and distribution marketing, preferably within the travel and/or technology sector
  • Proven experience of Account Based marketing particularly on Strategic one to one accounts
  • Strong commercial acumen and a good understanding of technology market preferred. 
  • Solid influencing skills, intercultural competence and experience working across a matrixed organisation. 
  • Strong planning and analytical skills. 
  • Fluent English and other languages highly desirable
  • Proven experience in managing and deploying marketing budget in a disciplined and impactful manner. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and on own initiative. 
  • Strength in the management of complexity parallel with attention to detail, on-time delivery and assurance of quality standards. 
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels. 
  • Highly collaborative, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
