Job Description


The Manager, Product Marketing plays a leadership role on the Product Marketing team by providing holistic go-to-market (GTM) program support for multiple product lines.  As both a coach and mentor to direct reports, this role oversees all aspects of GTM, including the definition, planning, execution, and measurement of product GTM efforts in line with business objectives. Duties include launching differentiated, value-based stories to market, while ensuring a consistent approach across assigned products. This includes sales enablement content development and marketing operational readiness. 

This position requires close interaction with product management, customer and demand marketing, global sales enablement, and corporate communications to drive market-led priorities. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are a must.

The Manager, Product Marketing is accountable for business results, as well as team performance and development. Ideal candidates will skillfully balance team training and growth with accomplishment of product marketing goals and objectives. This includes working with the team to identify personal growth opportunities and create career development plans. Comfortability with giving and receiving feedback is a must. 

For assigned product suites, this role will:

-    Collaborate across functions and silos to deliver an effective product marketing strategy and plan to meet the business objectives, including the acquisition of new customers and retention of existing customers 
-    Support the entire go-to-market lifecycle through the planning of net-new product launches, differentiated releases, and sunset activities 
-    Understand the market and competitive landscape to competitively position assigned products and services across all content and digital channels, as well as hosted community events 
-    Become an expert on our target customers and their buying criteria to author effective content for sales enablement, including collateral, presentations, and integrated product videos 
-    Collect testimonials and/or case studies and identify key customer references to leverage in voice of the customer content 
-    Position Travel Solutions as a thought leader in the market with customer-centric positioning and messaging targeted to segment and buying roles
-    Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on recommended changes 
-    Grow and develop team competencies through strong communication and a positive, collaborative attitude 

Job Requirements

•    MBA preferred; Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent
•    7+ years of business-to-business product marketing experience, with experience leading teams 
•    Experience with marketing products through unique positioning and value-based messaging and effective sales enablement tactics
•    Experience overseeing complex projects at both the strategic and tactical level 
•    Passion for teamwork with demonstrated leadership skills 
•    Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of partners 
•    Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and has a proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities 
•    Team mentality with strong, proven leadership skills in a cross-functional, matrixed team environment with executive presence
•    Pragmatic Marketing certification a plus 
•    Domain expertise in the airline or travel industry a plus
