Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst – APAC :

The incumbent will be responsible for providing in depth analysis for the region to support future commercial performance and understand impact of sales and strategic initiatives. From an analytical perspective, success in this role will be determined by the ability to distill external reference points along with internal data to identify, communicate and help implement data driven recommendations to improve business performance and drive strategic decisioning. In practice this means the Senior Financial Analyst should have the analytical and abstract reasoning skills to synthesize complex and detailed data into meaningful insights.  


Position Responsibilities

Support the planning and analysis for the division: (60%)

  • Work with Strategic Planning, Sales and Sales Operations leadership teams to develop the annual plan and the recurring monthly forecasts during the year.
    • Track performance on conversions & key account plans. 
    • Track and monitor the R&O process for APAC. 
  • Responsible to roll up (and challenge) the APAC inputs by sub-region/country.
  • Assist with month-end close process and variance analysis on top line transactions.
  • Working closely with Sales Operations to critically monitor the performance of the Sales/Annualization/Conversions numbers. 
  • Provide regular inputs and support the ask of central TS FP&A teams around:
    • Month end reporting and analytics
    • Top accounts performance summary 
    • New Essbase forecasting Tool process handling 
    • Manage headcount controllership for APAC


Support critical recurring and ad-hoc commercial reporting and analysis to drive the business: (40%) 

  • Revenue deep dive by market/carrier/product to drive strategic decisioning on share gain and margin lift.
  • Top and pooled modeling of incentives to support commercial and corporate understanding of top accounts incentives to allow for improved cost management and informed investment choices.
  • Seek out margin enhancement opportunities and partner with relevant stakeholders to build business cases and drive to execution.
  • Downstream analysis of promotions / trade fairs to drive decisioning for future investments.
  • Analyze internal / external information using data manipulation, correlation and statistical analysis to provide valuable insights and monthly reporting on performance of top accounts for air and LGS.
  • Support leadership with financial analysis and modelling as needed to support target achievement.
  • Execute specialized customer analysis to support increased market penetration and share of customer wallet. (2 per quarter
  • Manage and drive efficiency in core finance processes including compliance, expense management, and reporting.

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex and detailed data into meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully apply forecasting techniques to evaluate business goals .
  • Communication skills to articulate views in a clear and concise manner, including financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
  • Anticipates questions and prepares appropriate responses or answers
  • Uses narratives, like stories and analogies, to communicate messages.
  • Presents compelling arguments to support positions.
  • Constructively challenges business partner assumptions and goals.
  • Demonstrated advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills is a must.
  • Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.

  • Ability to work well as part of a team.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CA preferred).
  • 8+ years of applicable analytical experience.
  • Candidates with a mix of commercial and Big 4 audit experience will have a distinct advantage. Direct Big 4 Managers are also welcome to apply.
