Job Description

 

Trip Data Services team is focused on developing and maintaining variety of PNR (travel booking) services running on open systems (Linux). In specific the team is responsible for multiple PNR web services, PNR data distribution to internal and external customers and development of Trip Record - breakthrough architecture to store and operate on next-generation booking data. All the applications are high volume, multi-instance and critical.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Leading and supervising team of developers including setting goals and developing team members (giving performance feedback to developers; completing mid-year and end of year employee appraisal's systems; taking action on issues related to performance; rewarding and recognizing high performing employees)
  • Understanding enterprise software development life cycle, supporting and mentoring the team
  • Delivering solutions that meet business requirements and providing necessary technical support
  • Creating new ideas in order to improve application performance, deployment, and stability
  • Presenting the vision to senior leadership
  • Working collaboratively with extended teams (Product Management, Product Marketing, Operations, Sales and Delivery) across geographical locations
  • Keeping internal and external customers informed of project and resource plan

Job Requirements

 

  • IT background (Computer Sciences, Information Technology or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 of experience in IT area and at least 2 years on formal or informal team lead position
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills both English and Polish, clear and concise communication manners, serves as the leader conduit between internal and external teams
  • Excellent team work & team building orientation, ability to work in virtual teams
  • Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) methods
