Job Description


Performance Engineering team has an exciting opportunity for a creative and experienced software performance engineer in Krakow. The performance engineer is a pivotal role in the organization with responsibility for performance and reliability engineering Sabre’s most mission critical systems. This position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to work with a variety of people at all levels both technical and management across the enterprise. We are currently looking for:

Software Performance Engineering Specialist

The candidate will join a very collaborative team that is passionate about performance measurement and automation. A software performance engineer’s primary responsibility is the creation of test harnesses to inject load, analyze metrics from application and system logs, and simulate system behavior to improve the performance and reliability of Sabre applications. In addition to being very interested in tool development, the candidate should also have enthusiasm for troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving complex problems. The candidate must demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills and be prepared to be a knowledgeable performance engineering resource on multiple initiatives of diverse scope.




  • Be part of the team that is responsible for implementation, maintaining, adjustment and integration of internal performance test automation platform.
  • Suggest adjustments and improvements for existing tools and processes that are related to performance testing.
  • Utilizes statistical performance analysis and modeling techniques to validate application performance and provide capacity forecast.
  • Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Responsible for analyzing software products through the use of systematic effective performance tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.
  • Transform, organize and combine performance test results into reports for all levels with-in Sabre.
  • Identifies problems and associated performance measurement risks. Technical consulting on automation issues, tools and processes.
  • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems, may take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.

Job Requirements


‘Must have’ skills:


  • Python programming skills
  • Working knowledge of Ansible, Jenkins and JMeter
  • Proficiency in Linux
  • Effective data analysis and problem solving skills
  • Good verbal and written English skills


‘Nice to have’ skills:


  • Strong interest in one or more of the following:
    • System Monitoring and instrumentation
    • Statistical methods and tools (pandas, R, etc.)
    • High-performance software design and concurrent programming
  • Bash scripting
  • Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift experience
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodology
