Job Description


The Travel Solutions department offers a broad range of software and data solutions to help airlines and travel agencies market themselves, sell products, serve customers and operate more efficiently. It provides both airline reservations systems and a global distribution system, and a full suite of marketing and commercial planning software and enterprise operations solutions. With the development of the organization we are now looking for a new leader in our Kraków office.

The Manager of Software Engineering in the Sabre Enterprise Connectivity & Orchestration area will be in charge of three scrum teams in Cracow, Poland, focused on systems responsible for:


  • Terminal to XML transformation engine for Availability, Pricing & Shopping requests and other Sabre functions - Liberty, LibertyTG
  • Translation of SWS XML to Terminal / SDS TPF commands – TPFC (TPF connector)
  • Connectivity Orchestration that communicates with different systems in order to provide single response back to requesting customer / supplier – Services Platform


In this role you will:


  • Oversee a staff of approximately 20 people covering 4 product/scrum areas.
  • Be responsible for operational matters and effective achievement of objectives
  • Consistently work on complex issues or with complex ideas or situations across scope of responsibility
  • Be able to navigate by having in-depth functional, company and industry knowledge.
  • Manage via managers or technical / professional experts, at least 3 manager level direct reports plus individual contributors


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years related experience;
  • 3 years prior management or supervisor experience.
  • Experience in working with airlines, good understanding of travel business
  • Vast knowledge of relation management, business acumen, escalation management
  • Advanced computer software skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to delegate work and provide leadership
