Job Description

 

The Sabre Virtual Payments team provides industry leading virtual payment products that provide customers with a secure payment method through virtual payment technology integrated into the agency workflow, enabling a seamless payment and fulfillment process.

The role: Under general direction, responsible for the solution definition and delivery for new or existing products based upon the strategy and business needs.  Provides direction to and ensures development meets market requirements; manages product release schedule and prioritizes opportunities. Manages the annual investment plan (including capitalized investment, maintenance, etc.). Acts as the subject matter expert on a consulting basis on multiple projects.  This position will also be responsible for accomplishing the transfer of product knowledge to other parts of the Travel Network organization by delivering training (face to face and virtually) and preparing product documentation to create sales training materials.

They address challenges & opportunities openly & directly, advocating for strategic, end-to-end, commercially viable products & solutions. They lead as peers, driving outcomes while working side-by-side with technical product owners, development teams, and commercial business partners.

 

Our Product Managers are confidently responsible for Sabre’s success through pragmatic, collaborative, and well-informed product management. They listen beyond the obvious to ensure the best idea wins, not just their idea. As the Product CEO, Product Managers rigorously monitor their product through the full product lifecycle, from development to sunset. Product Managers embrace the whole problem, understanding the operational metrics, customer needs, organizational priorities, go-to-market messaging, revenue and cost implications.

 

• As the expert for the products, conducts product training for internal teams, both in person and virtually
• Supports sales pursuits with customers by responding to functional product questions
• Engages with sales enablement teams providing product specific information for sales materials
• Acts as the CEO of the product. Owns the P&L. Drives the strategy and vision for the product.
• Produces and maintains a business plan for each product.
• Understands competitive landscape including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and Sabre’s opportunities and threats.
• Conducts qualitative and quantitative research into customers and prospects to determine areas for growth and to support market problem definition.
• Influences support models to drive customer satisfaction and lower costs when possible.
• Creates feature requirements based on the market problem rather than the proposed solution.
• Prioritizes features and product backlog.
• Collaborates with Product Development on new features and aligns on technical strategy.
• Establishes/supports pricing strategy through strong understanding of customer value drivers
• Documents and communicates influencer and buyer personas.
• Prepares positioning documents for each product and target segment.
• Engages with Product Marketing on sales support and go-to-market plans.
• Produces and maintains product roadmaps

-Utilizing sales enablement materials, delivers internal product training for Sabre Virtual Payments sales engineers

- Amplify relationships and connection points between teams; provide a conduit for product and technology teams into the business and the customers, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned end-to-end.
- Facilitate and build frameworks to drive decisions across product stakeholders. Keep teams inspired and informed, considering development counterparts’ ideas as peers and partners.

• Customer Focused

- Collaborate with sales, marketing, strategy and other key stakeholders to ensure product strategy and commercial model fits the competitive landscape and company strategy.
- Identify target markets, translate customer needs into product roadmap, and support development of go-to-market messaging.

• Commercially and Financially Responsible

- Provide internal expertise on products’ commercial viability; operational metrics, revenue and cost implications, and long-term commercial viability.
