Crew Control is a suite of products used by more than 40 airlines across the world (mostly in EMEA region) to support them in their everyday work on planning flights and crew assignments and tracking daily changes in day of operations. Crew Control helps airlines to manage their crew and reduce associated costs of running their business. It also assures that all legal regulations are met by the airline. Extensive configurability and integrations allow airlines to adjust this software to their specific business needs. It is actively developed with the focus on new features and Restful API.

 

Crew Control software development team is responsible for managing the whole code base of the product from maintenance and bug fixes, implementation new business requirements to preparing binary packages and deploying them into customer local or Sabre hosted environments. Development team also provides support for delivery and customer care in troubleshooting productions issues. Working in this team also provides unique possibility of getting close to the customer. We are currently looking for C++ developers (on any level of experience) to join our team. Beside C++ development (we are on C++ 11!) this job also provides opportunity to learn other technologies like C#, SOAP and REST webservices, NHibernate and practice refactoring and TDD skills.

 

Senior C++/C# Engineer - Crew Control

 

Responsibilities of an Engineer:

 

  • Estimate, design and develop new features according to User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Refactor existing code, use TDD techniques, and apply rules of SOLID Design principles
  • Deliver high quality solutions, even in case where a “quick fix” may be enough
  • Communicate effectively with the team and with customers
  • Maintain a complex code base
  • Contribute to feature/function and system test automation
  • Debug code and profile system performance to troubleshoot functional and nonfunctional issues.
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Write documentation for bug fixes and implemented features
  • Demo software to internal customers

Job Requirements

 

‘Must have’ skills:

 

  • C++ 11
  • MFC and Visual Studio 2012/2013
  • STL (algorithms and structures)
  • C#
  • NET 4.5, async framework
  • WinForms and WPF
  • WCF
  • GIT version control system

 

General requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows development
  • Knowledge of relational databases, PL SQL
  • Communicative English
