Job Description

Responsible for the development and solution definition and delivery of new or existing products based upon a defined strategy and business needs of airline onboard service planning and execution. Provides direction to technology counterparts and ensures development meets market requirements; manages product release schedule and prioritizes opportunities; manages the annual investment plan (including capitalized investment, maintenance, etc.).  Manage the Sabre Solution Roadmap Governance business process. Act as the subject matter expert on a consulting basis on multiple projects for inflight services planning, execution, supply chain and financial reconciliation processes.  Sabre AirVision In-flight and Stand Alone Meal Ordering Optimizer represent a key set of capabilities to manage onboard services for customers as part of the Sabre Airline Solutions and AirVision Portfolio. As the product manager you will be responsible for overseeing the products that enable customers to manage and maximize these functions. 

This role participates in all phases of the product lifecycle, and responsibilities will span all aspects of product direction, competitive benchmarking, solution strategy, conference management and current and potential customer interactions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with leadership team to understand AirVision In-flight capabilities and be able to clearly articulate them to all levels of the organization
  • Manages the product profit and loss performance and reporting
  • Responsible for the overall product roadmap, pricing strategy, internal external product positioning
  • Leverages market research, customer surveys, data analytics and other sources produced by Product Marketing to understand customer needs and identifies new opportunities in order to inform decision-making and measure success
  • Adapts customer specific requests to meet the larger In-flight community needs and align with AirVision strategies, while managing customer expectations
  • Develops business cases to support investment
  • Conducts competitive assessments to measure the market value opportunity of Onboard Catering & Provisioning solutions
  • Manage all phases of the product development lifecycle for solutions
  • Initiates and manages idea generation, gap identification, financial attractiveness, feature prioritization, and feature definition
  • Collaborates with the internal teams (Delivery, Operations, Technology, Sales and Product Marketing) to deliver and provide the most effective solutions
  • Determines customer and roadmap impacts of critical feature issues and prioritizes fixes appropriately
  • Provides usability, evaluation and support to product delivery teams
  • Works closely with Technology, Marketing, and other business units to deliver releases on schedule through business planning, requirements, development, and market release phases
  • Represents product during internal and external industry events
  • Travel as an extension of the Sales Team as needed.

Job Requirements

We are looking for experienced Product Managers in the IT area, who are passionate about developing products and eager to learn the travel industry. Fluency in Engllish is a must
