Team Lead Solution Architecture

Sabre Automation Engineering is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting tools and patterns which increase operational visibility and process efficiency through automation. Areas include Event Management, Monitoring, Remediation and Software Currency. Members of this team are highly motivated with a passion for creative problem solving.

Position Summary

  • Develop orchestration flows in ServiceNow.
  • Work with Workflows , business rules , script includes and other development frameworks in ServiceNow.
  • Automate through Ansible playbooks.
  • Dissect complex problems into smaller tasks and work according to agile methodology

 

Critical Experience:

  • Knowledge of common development patterns including ( but not limited to ) code reuse, modularity, APIs, feature flags , exception handling and testing.
  • Well documented work experience with at least 2 of these programming languages - JavaScript, Python, Shell scripting, PowerShell.
  • Ability to learn quickly and creatively with minimal direction.
  • Individual contributor with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

 

Big Pluses:

  • Experience with Ansible / Ansible Tower
  • ServiceNow development experience including Workflows and orchestration.
  • Hands on experience implementing orchestration in a large, complex IT environment
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure technologies (Linux, Windows, load balancing, firewall, DNS).
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes, particularly Change and Incident Management.
  • Experience with public cloud providers - AWS, Azure or GCP.
Job Description
Leads a team responsible for developing technology architecture of the solution. Ensures design proposal meets customer needs. Reviews architectural designs of other solution architects and validates them. Analyzes and evaluates alternative solutions. Participates in the review and responses to RFP's. Position may be involved in both pre and post sales activities. Interacts with key technical managers and experts of the customer in order to understand the technology employed, the business complexity as related to the IT requirements and validates the proposed technical architecture and solution. Emphasis is on designing and validating the solution architectures requiring very broad product and technology expertise. Develops technology architecture of the solution. Ensures design proposal meets customer needs. Reviews architectural designs of other solution architects and validates them. Provides guidance and leadership to lower level team members. Participates in the review and responses to RFP's. Focuses on all aspects of solution (competition, business, technical, operations).
Job Requirements
EDUCATION: Please contact your Human Resources Representative. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 6 years related experience; prior lead/supervisory experience preferred. Advanced computer software skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate or less experienced team members; proven leadership ability.
